You’ll hear me tell people that I have the best job in the world! I often see new clients who have been suffering from chronic pain for a decade. Because the treatment I give them is so gentle, they’re often a little skeptical – but then they stand up. Their body feels different – their pain has changed. The look on their faces is priceless, and the satisfaction I get from helping them start to change their relationship with their body and their pain is incalculable.Beverley Kosuljandic, MCSP, MCPA

As a lifelong learner, Bev continues to pursue additional training in techniques such as Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, Advanced Visceral Manipulation and Craniosacral Therapy. “Our understanding of the human body and how it works is evolving,” she says, “particularly in the area of neuroscience. A recent training session that I did in geriatric Craniosacral Therapy was very exciting for its implications in treating dementia.”
Like all physiotherapists, Bev has created her own fusion of techniques that has proven extremely effective in treating complex conditions and chronic pain. Her clients range from women needing pre and post natal care, to athletes recovering from injury, to chronic pain sufferers and clients learning to cope with aging bodies. She works with her clients towards the goal of wellness, educating them in how their body works and what it needs. “My ultimate goal,” says Bev, “is to put myself out of a job one client at a time.”
One of Bev’s specialties is working with expectant mothers, helping them adjust to the changing demands of their bodies, prepare for birth, and recover afterwards. She is always thrilled to see new babies for a quick craniosacral check – because delivery can be hard on everyone involved. Infant colic is usually caused by cranial base compression either in utero, or during birth, and Craniosacral Therapy can really help!
Bev’s own children are adults now, but they continue to appreciate Mom’s professional skills in their “weekend warrior” years.
