Feldenkrais® Method

The Feldenkrais Method was developed by the Israeli physicist Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. The Feldenkrais Method uses a combination of gentle exercise and gentle manual techniques to improve body awareness and functioning. This includes better breathing, posture, coordination and muscle balance. The therapist uses a manual technique where you are gently supported and guided into new movement patterns that are not associated with existing chronic pain. The movement exercises help to release chronic muscle tension as you become more aware of your internal sensations and feelings.
The increased sensitivity and relaxation create more options of movement and gives your body the feeling of freedom that comes from having more choices. These small movements feed information to your nervous system to improve and enhance your brain’s association with movement, allowing movement to be more efficient and better organized.
